What is it?

One of the most frequent questions I get about StrangeBrew is "when will you write a version for Linux and/or MacOS?" The answer now is "it's here". StrangeBrew 2.0 is completely re-written in Java. Even better, it's free and Open Source.

Roadmap:

My plan is to develop StrangeBrew Java to the point where it's the most useful multi-platform homebrewing application available, and remain faithful to the tried-and-true interface of the original StrangeBrew. It will have most of the features available in the Windows version, plus many nice extras.

I will concurrently develop a "Pro" verison of Strangebrew 2.0 that will include even more features. Planned "Pro" features are:

• Advanced water treatment
• Equipment database / settings
• Easy database editing UI
• Batch management
• Inventory / shopping list

The cost will be nominal (as is the current version's cost).
